Mascot Clinch

Mascot Clinch System for THT Production

Robotas Technologies are proud to announce the launch of their brand new Mascot Clinch System at the IPC Apex Expo 2019 in San Diego, Jan 29-31. This new system is in addition to the tried and trusted Mascot family of products that are used specifically for THT production. All Mascot systems provide the operator with on screen work instructions and, via intelligent motorised carousels and pick to light indication, deliver the correct component to the operator at the correct time, whilst an eye safe laser is indicating directly onto the PCB where the component should be placed. Correct orientation is also indicated on screen and via the laser, so the correct component polarity requirements are maintained. Mascot Clinch goes one step further – once the component has been placed an automated mechanism under the PCB will then Clinch the component legs in either north, east, south or west directions. The finished lead profile can be set to either 45 degrees or flat to the board.

The brand new Mascot Clinch system will be on our booth #1610 where our team will be very happy to provide demonstrations and further system details, as well as details of all Robotas products. The system will then be at our demonstration facility in Tampa from end February 2019.
