Robotas were excited to make a return to the IPC APEX EXPO in Anaheim, USA in March this year, showcasing our cutting-edge THT Assembly Systems.
The team showcased our Mascot Clinch Conveyor, and our latest innovation – the VERIFY Module.
The Three Stage Mascot SMEMA Clinch Conveyor features Robotas’ advanced Clinch Technology that clinches component legs underneath the PCB to hold components in place and stop them from moving around or lifting during the wave solder process. The Mascot Clinch Conveyor is the perfect solution for those looking to replace dying CS400 Machines or ageing axial and radial insertion machines.
The team were also delighted to showcase our VERIFY Module – a real-time inspection module for THT assembly. At APEX, the team demonstrated a Mascot Standalone Verify System, but the Verify Module can be retrofitted onto any of Robotas’ Mascot family of products. Verify delivers real time verification of the correct placement of components as the PCB is being build, prior to soldering. It checks for the presence or absence of a part, and the correct polarity of a part too. This eliminates the need for rework, removing the most common faults seen post soldering.
Managing Director – Nick Walters also spoke with Claire Saunders from What’s New In Electronics (WNIE) about Robotas’ 40th Year Anniversary and all of the achievements we have accomplished over the past 40 years, in addition to what’s to come in the future.
